The sky is her love, the trees pulse with her blood. The air is her breath, and the sea her tears. Only through Gaia’s treasures can we be saved. --Tish Thawer
She awoke to save us, but it may already be too late.
The world is in chaos. Stars are falling from the sky. Floods, hurricanes, and fires rage across the land. And the only being strong enough to stop it is stuck in teenage form ... again.
Reborn, Gaia has come to Earth to battle through the strife and discover if the world is worth saving.
Tasked with guiding her, it falls to me to help her weather the storms, and hopefully, find a place where she can be at peace. But time is running out, and her patience is waning. Now, I fear if the human race doesn’t destroy the world … she will.

Prologue:
Screams pierced the air, but I kept swinging my sword. Souls of the damned swarmed the field, released from their fiery home in an attempt to keep me from achieving my goal. But after years of training, I was ready. Dropping to the ground, I spun in a circle with a wide sweep of my weapon, slicing through five at a time. The scorched earth crackled beneath my feet, dry and brittle as I slayed the next one.
“No matter how strong you become, you will not succeed,” a deep voice reverberated from behind me, clearing the field with his godly presence.
“Are you here to stop me?” My long dark hair blew across my face, hopefully hiding the fear elicited by his words.
“No. But I am here to punish you.” Lightning coursed between his fingers.
“Punish me?” I stood with my sword propped against the curve of my hip, its hilt heavy in my hand as the tip sank deeper into the ground.
“Look around, my darling. In your desperate attempt to save your daughter, you’ve neglected your duties, and the world has fallen into chaos because of you.”
Taken aback, I raised my eyes to the horizon. Fires raged in the distance, their sparking fingers reaching into the churning sky. Violent clouds rolled, filled with lightning and ill intent. It was as if the sky and the earth were reaching for one another, determined to explode together, destroying everything in one final embrace.
“It will be up to you to guide the only one who can fix this. For that is your punishment, and the only way to secure a deal to save the one you love.”
